Groupy won't open Microsoft Office apps from Saved Groups.

I can't use the save groups feature because it never opens any of the Office 365 apps. I tried re-installing Groupy, but that fixed nothing. Help?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

1) Windows 10 version. Please use Winver.exe for full version numbers.

2) Groupy version.

And

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purge, reinstall using the latest version you just downloaded. Reboot after the reinstall. Retest and report back.

Thank you,

Did you obtain your version of office 365 from the Microsoft store in Windows or via some other route?

Reply #6 Top

I believe it was from the Microsoft Store. Might be worth a shot to delete those and redownload...

I tried redownloading Office 365 and restarted my PC, but that fixed nothing.

This is what jumps out at me...

Target="C:\Users\bento\OneDrive\Desktop\Data Files\College\@ Classes\Semester 2\ENG 206HN"

That you are opening from a OneDrive / sync's folder..

As a test, if you move / copy a few files from there, to the desktop, open them, save to a group in Groupy, then re-open, does it work?

I tried copying the files to the home screen and that didn't work. I also tried moving those files to My PC > Documents. It also didn't work. In my group, I had one File Explorer tab and two Word Documents. When I opened the group, the File Explorer tab opened, but not Word. When I clicked the files in the folder, the documents opened in the group. The program remembered that they were in the group, but did not open them for me. Any more ideas?

I put the word files from my saved group inside my local folder, but the Word files still did not open with the rest of the group.
