Remove side bar region

Earlier today I was setting up KVM mode (pretty happy so far!) and in the process I hit the open sidebar option.  I was able to close it but now the region of my screen that was previously occupied by the sidebar is still reserved.  All of my windows will only maximize to a size that reserves that space.  I'm assuming a restart will fix this but I'm currently running some projects that can't be interrupted.  Is there a way to fix this without a restart?

If you restart Windows Explorer, does that resolve it?
