Error when installing Start10 from Object Desktop or Independently

Installation Failure

Upon attempted installation (on newly built/Current Build off Windows 10 PC) I receive the Problem Code 3000 and installation discontinues.

When attempting install via independent installer - no error received but the progress bar gets to the end of the install and discontinues process.

I've attempted installation of Start10 via Object Desktop, Independent installer (downloaded from Website), Free Version, and the Beta 1.09 edition. NONE of these installation attempts completes.

Error/Problem Code

Does anyone know what this Problem code means, and how to resolve this issue so I can install, again?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more information.

1) Windows 10 version installed. Please use "Winver.exe" to get to full version numbers.

2) Start10 version you are trying to install and having those error code.

Thank you for the follow-up.  While continuing to troubleshoot the issue - I selected a non-default path for installation (D:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start10 vs.  C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start10) and the installers worked without incident?

I will use the D:\ Path, but seems very odd the default C:\ path wold fail installation?

WinVer:  Version 19.09 OS (Build 18363.720)

Start10 version:  1.8 (Production)

 

Happy to continue the troubleshooting on C:\ path if desirable?
