[Resolved] Groupy breaks notifications

from Stardock Forums

Hi,

I have Skype, Discord and Trillian combined in a group. There are no audio nor visual notifications when receiving incoming messages. I may have somehow done something wrong, but this goes against expected behavior.

 

Windows 10 Pro x64 build 1903

Hello,
I don't have Discord and Trillian on my system. But Skype does show notification on its icon when I have new msg. I have Skype grouped with Whatsapp and Telegram. All its groupy tabs have msg notification on it. But, I have forwarded your questions/problems to the Stardock Support team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. Please check in "Notifications & actions" setting, Notification is turn on and skype and those others are also selected as "on"

Hi Basj,

Thanks for your attention to this issue. I have the following settings Enabled:

  • "Get notifications from apps and other senders"
  • Discord
  • Skype

I'm now taking a closer look at this Focus assist feature, which might resolve the problem.

 

Edit:  The Focus assist settings were responsible for breaking notifications, but it would be nice if Groupy could enable a visual notification (flashing tab) as an option.
