Hello. That usually happen when you enter a wrong email address. Please use the email address used when you doing the purchase. eg. If you pay with paypal, the email should be the one use that link to your paypal account.

Please try that, and if  you still need our assistance please report back here.

Thank you,

I've checked again & again, the email is correct, product key found in the original email confirmation, (I did not use Paypal), key and email also appear on "order history". and yet, still getting the same massage - "email address is not valid for the product key". I don't think the email is the problem  - trying to activate using my Stardock account I'm getting  a massage stating that "fences is not associated with this account" (although I do see it under order history)

where can I download the *.resp file for offline activation? haven't tried that yet.

product key status states that it was activated a year ago (which is when I purchased it), maybe that's the problem? I can't re-activate it because it is already activated? if that's the case, how do I re-activate after reinstalling (in case of formatting computer or a new computer)
