Second pc passcode gibberish, can change it, but it reverts back to gibberish

then main pc says cannot connect, incorrect passcode

Also shows gibberish in Authentication area where you can change that passcode.

Running Win 10 Pro 64-bit both pcs.

What I've done:

Both pcs on private network

Both pcs using same keyboard and US layout

I did the purge on both pcs.  Corrupted files on the main pc and I had to do a complete fresh reload.

Have turned of firewall on both pcs.  Using Windows Defender on both.  Turned that off also

Numerous uninstalls and reinstalls and reboots on both pcs

I tried being sneaky and copying the gibberish onto a thumb drive and copying it to the main pc didn't work.  Second pc reset the passcode

Ports and software showing up in firewalls both pcs

I've tried loading older versions of multiplicity.  No go!

The couple posts I read that were the same as mine were told to put in a ticket.  I put in a ticket and was told to post here.  :)  Little bit of catch 22.

I have used multiplicity for years no problems.  It has worked perfectly on Win 7 to Win 7 and recently from Win 10 to Win 7.  I just did a fresh load of Win 10 pro on second pc and this is when I received this problem.

If anyone has any new suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Thank you kindly!

I did a clean boot to another user on pc and put as adminstrator.  Logged onto it, multiplicity connected.  I logged out of user account and back into mine and it's working now.  It just took me typing all that information out and reading that last post I saw to get it to work.  Sorry, for all that typing wall!

I think my whole problem may have started with me doing the fresh install of win 10 on my second pc at another place on a different network.  I had to actually create a new user here and everything worked fine.  I moved everything over to that user.
