Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

can't find windows 10 backgrounds or themes
End of quote

What exactly does that mean, that it cant find a specific type or location, and that it can find some others - or no - DS10 does not show any at all?

If it is the former, that it is just some locations, make sure you have DS10 looking in the same folders (ones you may added yourself) for DS8:

If that still fails, post a screenshot (video is even better) of what you are seeing when clicking on certain Categories (the ones that fail and the ones that do not.

Hi,

As you see Deskscapes won't display Windows 10 background, nor any backgrounds on my computer including dreams from folders on my c: drive. It displays online images though.

Hello,

Would like to see your DS10 setting on folders. Just click on that green "Manage folders" button and screen capture it and post it here.

Please try this the following:

-For Win8/10 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

Some help on how this looks should you need it:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Some help on how this looks should you need it:

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.

Thank you,

Hi,

SFC /scannow didn't turn any problems and dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth didn't show any problems either.

I can't understan why Deskscapes 8 works OK with my computer and Deskscapes 10 doesn't.

If you download any of them, do they show locally in the 'Downloaded' category?

Hi,

I can download online background in Deskscapes 10 but nothing shows in the local download category. It just states that 'No suitable backgrounds have been found  in this folder.
