Yeah, legit is key. I always wondered how come the government never seems to crack down on the false claims of some of them (or for that matter most of them).

For my fulltime job (multi-media programmer) I don't need to leave my house. And for a while now I am doing work for Stardock and I don't need to leave my house for that either. For the Stardock job there was once an entrance fee: The ODNT subscription. Let's call it a hobby that went out of control.

i run a small business at home. i build new computers and repair any of them. i aso do bike repair. it is a hooby for me.

Both GPMA and SCM (our operations) are run from our home .... the net is such a good tool for my type of business!

So I need a job that is in the technical field or at Stardock..

We ended up building an office on the back of the house for our business. Which was a huge mistake because we never seem to be able to walk away from work at times.

I've worked from home [Architecture] for about 20 years now....just using one room as an office....with adjacent 'bike shed', building/restoring/repairing bikes [treadlies], and the odd computer repair/upgrade...[the latter are 'hobbies']...

I would like to, my employment (IT) at the moment is 50 km from home, and software-wise administration, programming and the like would be no problem even remote, but if there are serious hardware crashes or some support things that need me to be there it would take me too long to get there... Unfortunately the company I work for 14 years now will get closed at the end of September , so I am looking for a new job, maybe there will be some changes possible for that matter.

I work from home but via County employment, it's not all that working from home cuz you have two jobs squeezed into one, trying to do your home stuff and work both simultaneously (plus your goof off stuff in between of course) hehe

working from home doing the stuffing envelope thing would not be stable or dependable (me heard those kinda jobs are rips)
but going the route of Telecommuting via a County or City, Government stay at home and work thing I can vouch for and it issss so first go get your foot in the door of the stable route and then proof yourself worthy of staying home and your set!

I'm lost there, how do you get into that?

I use to want to be an Architect... now I don't know... I wanted my own business designing homes and interiors. Nothin big like skyscrapers or office building just small stuff... maybe a community center, small school at largest.

I plan to go back to it, but I should be 50 years old by then (at least according to my schedule)

Telecommuting is slowing getting accepted over here for more and more business cuz it saves them money letting a few employees work their jobs from home (Prob is some Bosses w/ big heads don't like to lose "Control" over their employees so it's not easy to get permission to do it at some places still)

Not as easy as most think since you need to work triple hard to prove you're worthy of it, and you end up juggling home stuff along w/ it so it's not like everyone else who when they go into work physically they just do work and when they go home they do home stuff so it's not all that easy... but if you want freedom and to work from home Joe try checking into larger more stable jobs w/ Government, County or City that allow "Telecommuting" and you'll be set working from home w/ a more stable income, those other jobs working from home stuffing envelopes and things of that nature I heard are rips and not steady income etc.

If you want to be an Architect follow your dream! and just do it! don't look down the end of the road just look at todays schedule and do it one day at a time until you get there
