Snap application windows to all edges (displays and other application windows)

Hi guys,

First of all, I'm a decade-long fan of Fences - it eases my focus and icon management every day. Thanks for this relief!

I have another dream in mind: I'm totally unhappy with application windows "arrangement" provided by standard MS Windows means. I would really love to have a feature that eases movement and resizing of windows - allowing me to snap against all visible edges, that is, all edges of all displays and all edges of other application windows. Maybe, I'm the only one, but the MS Windows feature (split screen like when coming near to a display edge) is not very convenient IMO. It only works when moving a windows and not when resizing, the manangement of more than 2 windows is bad, etc etc.

A snapping to every edge would be so much easier and intuitive. Additionally snapping to an invisible grid would also help a lot. Some people might also like saving and restoring window favorite positions (per display configuration), etc etc. But the main game changer IMO would definitely be the biggest game changer.

What do you think? Would it make sense for you to provide some help here with a new tiny tool like Fences?

Great idea, but, most of modern monitors already come with their own Display managers.

Yup, all similar stuff. But the more window "dynamics" I have to do, the more this management does not work. Instead of choosing which window (thumbnail) to place on which slot, I would really rather place and resize "snappily" ;-)

But well, maybe, it's just me ;-)
