i am sorry if i am asking a stupid question i just wondered if objectdock is any good i noticed it was a beta version and just wondered if anyone has any problems with it i have xppro sp1 256mb ram 2ghz processor. does it run all the time can you switch it off if it slows down system. i am sorry for sounding dumb but i am new to all of this

Stardock's betas have very few major problems in my experience......... ObjectDock should give you none. Yes you can turn it off, whenever you choose, but I doubt it will slow you down......... works fine on my 1.5 Ghz .... Go For It!
