Am I the only one who cannot update skinstudio?

When I saw an update I tried and got a failure. So I thought it would help to uninstall. But then I still get a failure. So I don't even have the old copy.

If it is only me I will email support. If it is everyone else, I won't bother them and wait a bit.

I solved the problem by clearing the temp folder in the stardock folder. Should work.

3.9 Alpha is only available via SDC btw.

Played arround with importing XPStyles a bit. That's fun.

GM : No, has nothing to do with the windows-temp folder. There is a 'Temp' folder in 'c:\program files\stardock'. You have to delete the content of it by hand.

DM : haven't used it much yet, but no crashes or something, if You mean that.

I think they should add an option to clear the temp-folder before/after downloading. Or SDC should do it automatically.

um... when I looked in that temp folder it is full of stuff. Can I safely delete all of it?

I noticed that this is the reason for the problems sometimes. You can clear it safely. Never experienced any problems afterwards.

It still won't install. I suspect a bad install/uninstall of PSP Beta 8 has caused problems. I could not run Stardock Central and PSP 8 at the same time, so I took PSP (beta) off. I thought that corrected the problem, but I guess not. I will contact support. Thanks.

/me cringes... this may take registry work.

ohhhhh PSP8...I had problems with that too....EEEK and I can't remember what they were or how I fixed them....I was talking with bagginz and he helped. Try going on the chat room and finding him or email him.
