Multiple Monitor Issue

Grouped Explorer windows jump from monitor to monitor

I love groupy, been looking for something like this for ages! One slight niggle I have is that if i open several explorer.exe windows and group them, when i change the active tab, the groupy window switches from the monitor it was showing on to the monitor that explorer.exe was created on! Very annoying having it jumping around my screens! Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information. Your groupy version? Windows Version? and Multiple monitor resolution? Thanks.

Hi, Groupy 1.16, Windows 10 with 3 1920 x 1080 24 inch monitors. If I open 2 explorer windows (grouped) on screen 1 and drag the groupy window to screen 2, when i close the second explorer or switch back to the 1st explorer, the groupy window jumps back to screen 1! Thanks for the speedy reply!

Hello,

I have the same problem with a group containing
- Windows 10 Mail

Windows 10 Pro 1803
Groupy 1.16

Previous version (1.11 I think) was running fine

Same problem after reinstalling

I've been able to reproduce the problem

On monitor 1 group 2 applications together
Drag the group on monitor 2
Maximize the group by double-clicking the group title
Click the other non-active application
The group will be maximize but on monitor 1

Ok. The problem is reproduce-able on Maximize Windows but not on not Maximize windows.

I have forwarded your problem to Stardock Support team for their assistant. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patient.

This was thought to be resolved in a prior version, and may have been for perhaps different circumstances, but I was able to repro this with your instructions. It would appear some of it has to do with how Windows itself logs what view state the app was (windowed, minimized, maximized).

In can case, I have placed an internal ticket to have it looked at.

Thank you for the report and feedback.
