WindowFX - Wobbly Windows crashings

WindowFX - Wobbly Windows crashings

Effect is dying after some time - no error message

Hi there,

I'm running Win8.1 and WindowFX 6.03.

After some days (without rebooting and multiple monitors) WindowFX is stopping to work without any errors...

Just the window effects are fully gone and back after killing all related processes and restarting the services.

Any idea how to get a stable functioning?
Thanx.

Best regards

Frank

PS: I'm so happy to have wobbly windows on my "windows" machine now! Thank you StarDock for making this possible, which wasn't for a long time! 5*  :dur:

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. What version of WindowFX your are currently running? And Windows version? Was the problem gone from July and only reappear now?

Note there is a new beta version of WindowFX 6.04 released (https://forums.stardock.com/491627/page/1/#3730221). Have you tried it?

Ya, was directly grabbing the new version, but still having issues with hanging processes and not show animations.
Also on borderless windows the animations are not showing...

Since its been awhile since your last post. Is the problem suddenly reappear or is the problem exist all this while?

Thank you,

The problem exists all this while... Frequently I have to restart services to get it back working, which is really annoying through the time... :(

Thank you, but this was not solving my problem. I also figured out, that the animation cannot be drawn, if this setting is not active...

All of this, all the issues, still revolve around closing the lid then reopening as you have detailed prior, yes?

If so, try changing the power settings to stay on when the lid is closed - if not just to test:
