IP Adrress

Hi Folks,

First timer here.

Trying to connect two computers.

On Primary> R click taskbar icon>Configure Multiplicity> click Secondary settings icon >Configure computer gives name of secondary and passcode. At the bottom of the window is a check box for "Always use the IP address (xxx.xxx.x.x). This number is different from the one displayed on the secondary computer's "Configure Multiplicity" window.

So I'm thinking this is why they don't see each other. Anyone know how to resovle this issue?

Thanks, Bodcaf

Similar problem here.  Did you find a solution?

Comcast upgraded my router changing my ip addresses from 192.168..... to 10.0.0.0.  Since I have been unable to connect to one of my secondary computers.  Under config settings "always use the ipaddress..." it showed the old network address 192.168 for that computer, so I deleted the computer completely and rebooted all computers and router.  I then added back the 2nd computer, which showed the correct address, yet when I added it, the same old ipaddress 192.168... appeared in the "always use ip address settings" and it would not connect.  I am thinking there is s registry error that shows the always use computers old ip address but I don't know how to fix it.

I got this to work by doing the following

1 uninstalled Multiplicity on the problem Secondary.

2. Rebooted and reinstalled on the "

3. When I tried to add the 2ndary it again showed the same old IP address for the computer name, so I instead used the ip address for 2ndary.  It showed the correct computer, so I added it, modifying the name slightly.

4. after it was connected I went back to the primary and changed the name back to the Secondary Computer name which was on the its name on the 2ndary.

#1 and #2 may not have been necessary.
