KVM Means ??

My old Belkin KVM switch died last week. I saw a mention of Multiplicity, read the info (perhaps not carefully enough) and bought the KM version.

My use is this: I have space for only one monitor on my desk. I place my laptop on a table to my right, out of my line of sight. With my Belkin I would push the switch and my laptop screen was there on my monitor, push again and I'm back to my desktop view. Both controlled by the desktop mouse and keyboard.

I gather that the KM version can't do this. Will I be able to have the laptop screen on my main monitor if I upgrade to the KVM version?

Thanks
