Lost - Deleted files

Fence portal is empty and files are missing from source folder

Hello,

I reinstalled Fences on a new work laptop. I tried using the folder portal for the first time - apparently I made some mistakes. Unfortunately I don't recall all the steps I took, which will make figuring this out more difficult. In the end, I have a Folder Portal that is empty. The source folder is also empty except for a sub folder that is also empty. There should be files in the main folder and the sub folder.

The source folder originated on the desktop but was subsequently moved to "Documents" on the local drive. No network drives are used in this scenario.  I believe when I moved the source folder, the portal folder was blank - and I realized it was because I moved the source folder - so I recreated a new Folder Portal of the source folder once it was in "Documents". Everything looked fine. Today after booting up, these files are missing from the portal and from the source folder. They are not in the Recycle Bin (other files and such that I deleted yesterday are in Recycle, but not the missing files).

I tried disabling the "desktop pages" and that didn't fix anything. I also toggled the "quick hide" enabling button, which did not fix the issue.

Other fences are functioning fine. There are no network drive interaction with fences. All files and folders are local.

It's as if the files were deleted, but why are they not in the Recycle Bin? Any ideas?

I ran the logging program and have the zip file if that's of any use. I was going to submit a ticket, but the instructions state that I can't use the email/ticketing system for this issue.

Sorry to hear you are having issues...

There is only one way for Fences to delete files (and only on the desktop and only with normal Fences - not portals) but it has to be told to:
