Sorting by Last Modified issue

Hi,

I have this problem when I set up the sorting of a fence by 'Last modified' / REverse Order, so that the lastest item added to the fence shows up in the bottom position.

 

The sorting revert to default for I do not know what reason. After reading a solution to this issue, I tried the solution to rename/ recreate a fence but to no avail.

 

I am running the latest version on a recently formatted/ clean state machine. (Win 10 64 bit Home)

 

Your help is much appreciated.

Hello,

You can always click the "Last Modified" tab and get it re-sort to it.

HI Thanks for the prompt reply.

 

But, unless I am mistaken, you are advising me to click the tab in Fences everytime I want my items sorted while I want this feature to be saved.

Hi, I think this has to do with the latest Windows update.

 

I am on a freshly installed Windows, official Fences copy.

This behaviour is quite annoying and this did not happen before.

Hi,

 

Still trying to sort this issue and found out that I had two fences processes at start-up.

 

This is after a purge using the bat and a reinstall.

Is this normal?

It is also listed twice at startup on my Windows 7 too. I am sure on mine it was like that all the time since I never purged and reinstalled fences on this system. But if it normal to have it twice? That I have to check with my CM support Team.

Hope someone will come back with a proper answers..

Thanks for the prompt reply.

 

Yes, I hope too that someone will be able to fix the sorting issue as I work with a large number of docs and clicking on the sorting options everytime I go to my folder fence to see where is the latest doc is a pain really and a real shortfall to this piece of software which is excellent without this drawback.
