Windows Blinds Troubles and Fortnite

I had started a new topic some days ago describing my problems with windows blinds and how there were no updates to fix them... In the end I didn't receive any real help beside just telling me to try making a new user, which showed the same problems.. Interference with Start 10, no text in popup windows.. and no time/date shown in taskbar.... Besides all of this... Windowsblinds was being detected as a cheating or reverse engineering software by FORTNITE, making it impossible to  play... so I just want to inform anyone who is having problems playing that game (receiving bans), and has Windows blinds installed... well, uninstall it if u want to play... I finally decided to do the same, cause the skins simply didn't work for me, and it didnt let me play the game.

Hello,
I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.

Please note that there will be a new release of Windowblinds soon. But I cannot confirm if the problem listed here will be addressed in the new release.

Unfortunately Fortnite is incorrect.  WindowBlinds is neither a cheat or reverse engineering tool.

If we have the filename of the app in question we can try forcibly excluding it, but be aware that if they have implemented things in a complex way this may not be possible and it would be on them to resolve.

I have been searching for excluding in windowblinds fortnite but was not succesfull ! It's the anti cheat engine that detectes windowblinds as service and marks it as "cheat" even tried to run fortnite with the windowblinds service stopped but even that is not working

ps it was solved a patch ago and came back dont know why they have changed something after the last big update

We have ways to exclude things further than the normal exclusions do so absolutely the minimum takes place in a given app.

What is the fortnite filename?

Here we are a year later after the original post, and Fortnite just got this error with Start 10. It is indeed probably on Epic to fix.

14:35:09: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start10\start10_64.dll".

Is it stopping the game playing or just a harmless error message?

It froze the game actually, this message remained when I force quit (which was difficult because the game wouldn't release the video card, I had to use the keyboard to move the task manager to my second monitor).

4 and a half years later, this is still such an issue that i got a permanent ban out of NOWHERE because of windowblinds. im appalled with epic games and easy anti cheat because ive been trying to contact them both for days, and epic has started to just completely ignore me and EAC just wants to forward me to epic

Nothing should have banned you for a dll they actively blocked from loading.

Why do you think WindowBlinds is the reason for you being banned?

because i dont have any cheating software, or any other system altering software and didnt do anything else in game at the time, i was banned before i got into a game, and also a friend sent me this fourm whenever i mentioned my problem
