In Seamless mode keyboard and mouse clicks are always sent to slave computer

Depending on what I'm doing on the primary computer the slave is still recording mouse clicks and keyboard strokes. While I'm typing on primary the secondary will select files alphabetically (File Explorer) according to the key strokes, then when I hit enter the appropriate program will open for that file.

 

Windows 10 primary desktop and slave laptop. Dual monitors on primary.
