I've ugraded to Fences 3 and it has made my desktop run very poorly. Programs take longer to load, a double click sometimes doesn't open the program but rather removes all the icons from the desktop. Is there a fix?
Try this fix first
Purge / uninstall Fences download and run this .bat file ( follow direction ) Link: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling
Reboot
Get you product key : https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products
to activate
Reinstall Fences : https://www.stardock.com/products/fences/
Reboot
*** while Fences is running double clicking on desktop will hide your icons
double-click again and your icons are back
