CursorFX failure in Windows 10

Only the default Windows cursor is activated

CursorFX worked perfectly in Windows 7. Recently did a new install of Windows 10 and discovered that the selected pointer from Cursor FX disappeared behind the windows menu. Completely uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller. Reinstalled the new trail version 2.16 from Stardock and now I am unable to activate any of the cursors from CursorFX. Only the default Windows cursor is activated. ¿?

Hello,

The following tool will purge the application for a possible re-install (if that is the goal).

**IMPORTANT** Please save any open documents/work and close out all of your applications including browsers. Your PC may restart after running this .bat file.

Please follow this link:

http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/apps/Purge_CursorFX.bat

Save the file to your desktop, right click it and select "Run as Administrator" if you're on Vista/7/8/8.1/10

If you are running Windows 8/10, you may be notified that Windows is protecting your PC. Select "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Reboot the computer and reinstall the application. It is important to get the most recent version of the application.

For trials:
Please ensure you have the most recent trial available:
https://www.stardock.com/products/

For Steam Purchases:
Install from Steam and Steam only.

For Stardock direct purchases:
For getting your product and key, please see the following:

https://www.stardock.com/support/productkeyretrieval

Please DO NOT change any of the default settings until you verify that the application is running as expected in its default state.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.

Hello, o.k. so far...

My System is in the same situation. If i'm open the Windows Start menu and i wouldt like to click on some Items, the Style-Cursor is hidden behind the Start menu and also behind the taskbar. The taskbar is a little bit more transparent, so i can see the design-cursor behind the Taskbar.

i have also used the purge...bat as Administrator and re-installed cursorfx clean. The Problem persists. Only if i  do change the Cursor-Design with "my Cursor" to Windows Standard the Cursor show normal function into Start-menu and Taskbar.

The Problem exists, i belive, since installation of the W10 Fall Creators update. Several searches with goole have not yet yielded meaningful solutions. Same Problems with other Software i have not observed.

Thanks

Dirk
