Fences broken after changing "Location" of Desktop

I need to change the default location of the "Desktop" folder from C:\Users\XXX\Desktop to C:\Users\XXX\Dropbox\Desktop. Once I do all of the fences are empty and there are hundreds of icons all over the desktop. Is there a way to update Fences with the new path to the Desktop without having to manually move hundreds of icons? I don't  remember what Fence each icon was in..... Seems like this should already have a solution as changing the "Default" location of a Users folder is common practice.
