Offline/Online Status on Message Board?

Is this a new feature? I just saw someone's nick in a message thread and it was followed by "off-line". Actually it looked like nickname/off-line. I read the new features post and didn't see anything there about it.

I'm going to be facing exam in a few days and then a dorm move. So I set my name as Offline to show I'm sort of gone for a few days. I'll be inactive. It's not a new feature, although if the admins would add it, it would be a nice feature, IMO.
