Ventrilo/Discord/TS3 and Multiplicity

A post was created a number of years ago and the request was sent to the development team but it appears this issue still persists.

I'd like to use Multiplicity instead of Synergy because overall its a much better program but the fact that I cannot send a push to talk key to my primary machine only (in this case I use the mouse wheel button), is forcing me to choose Synergy. Has there been a fix/setting added that I'm not aware of? Are any users aware of a work around to allow a push to talk key to function regardless of what window/system you're actively in?
