Need some help in IE

Whats goin on...


Before, when I would click on a link and it would open in a new page, or when I right clicked and opened it in a new page, whatever I clicked on would be outlined in dotted lines. I'm pretty sure ever since I installed WB 4 it stopped doing this and I can't seem to find how to get it back.



Like if you right clicked on a text link and opened it in a new page, when you went back to that page that link would be outlined in dotted lines.

I can't relate to the dotted lines you mention. I just get a regular window when it opens in a new window. Previews here are in a regular window without the navigation stuff unless I right click (I think that's how I get the navigation stuff). So....dunno. I recently updated with MS hotfixes and haven't noticed any differences. Have you installed any of the IE related MS fixes recently? Sorry, I can't help but this thread looked so lonely without any responses.

I think you misunderstood me.

I right click a link and open in a new window. When I do that, the link I right clicked will look like this:

Before I click it, it was like this:


Link I clicked


So, when I go back to that page, you can see what linked I clicked because it is outlined in dotted lines. After installing Windowblinds 4, I do not see this anymore .

OK, sorry DJ, now I think I know what you mean. When you open a link in a new page, the link on the original page is marked by dotted lines and/or a bit of a highlight (with some skins I think) so you can always tell what link you clicked on. This is particularly helpful (IMO) if you're going through a list of links and don't want to lose your place or open the same link twice.

Um, I have to check that out now that you mention it. I don't think I've been paying attention. Does this happen in IE when you're not running WB 4 and just using the native XP GUI?

Hmmm, actually I remember formatting recently and the regular XP skin did not do it (before installing Windowblinds). Then I installed it and they would be highlighted; this was with every WB skin I used.

After updating to WB 4 it does not do it anymore. I've also tried many skins including the ones I've used before.
