Can't move desktop icon to a fence

Trying to tidy up my desktop. It's been a while. But, to my surprise, I can no longer move my icons to my fences.

I am using latest version of fences.

Is there some setting which may have changed during an update, or that I may have inadvertently changed?

Right-click on the fence, select View, see if the fence is locked.

Thanks for the response. However, when I took a look, I don't see any option regarding lock or unlock. As far as I know, all of my fences are unlocked.

But, I just noticed that the double-click in an open area has no response from my system.

I'm beginning to think that I need to in-install and re-install Fences.

Thanks again. I was able to locate this image on my system and confirm that my fences are not locked, i.e., no tick mark. Regardless, my problem remains.

Incidentally, I have the complete object desktop installed although mostly I use it for the Fences program. Probably makes no difference unless you have other info.
