Tiles - Using shortcut for switching pages breaks flow

Basically, I would like to use it to "focus" me on the apps I am currently interested in.

I have enabled "When switching pages windows should be minimized and restored automatically". So that as I use the shortcut to switch pages, my windows get cleaned up.

This sort of works, but the window that is enabled after the switch seems completely random. If I leave for example Visual studio as my active window and I switch back and forth, I would like Visual Studio to still be the window in the foreground.

Is this even possible?
