Help with desktop X?

I am really new with this and I must have done something wrong. How can I reset the defaults? I have more than usual amounts of time between when I boot and when it crashes (by maybe 20 seconds) ( that kryptonite DX is really calling me).

Load the 'Blank' theme. Double click it in Explorer if it keeps crashing.

A drastic measure is to delete the contents of the theme directory which is USERNAME + Theme e.g. MartinTheme or AdministratorTheme.

OOPS... it is not on all themes. Ignore this, I will work it out. It works on other themes like the new kryptonite, so I know it has the function. I just have to work out the cause and I have suspects (symmetrix is the only thing I have really changed lately.).

Ah... thanks so much. No wonder the K. theme loads then. After I load the "blank screen' can I go ahead and try the themes I had, or should I delete them and download them again? I was in the middle of testing one specific theme and I would like to continue.

Should be OK just to try them. Unless there is a corrupted download, or it is an older theme with a bad plugin it should be OK.
