Quick question for someone

Hey whats goin on...

If someone just makes a new Start Button or the back/forward/stop buttons, if there something so that he could just use those? Like just have a new Start Button?

sorry, I'm a bit confused by your question. The taskbar start button? I don't quite know what you mean by the back/forward/stop button.

Yeah, the taskbar start button. He created one in Photoshop and wants to use it.

The back and forward buttons up top here in IE.

If I understand correctly... what you want to do is make a new start button and put it in an existing theme, for your own use? If so. then the easiest way to do it is with SkinStudio. Otherwise you would have to hand edit the UIS file in that particular skin.
Am I on the right track here?

ah, well, the IE buttons could be used by webblinds and I'm trying to find out what would happen if you *only* put a start button graphic into a windowblinds skin, but I think bad things would happen. There is an app out "there" somewhere which can skin just the start button I believe.

Exactly BoXXi but from the thread he started he's not using Windowblinds or anything. Just the normal XP skin and wants to use what he created in Photoshop.

Ahhh werewolf you're saying create a Windowblinds skin but only do the start button.

DJ, yeah but I don't think good things would happen if you only had 1 graphic in a .uis file and besides you said there was no windowblinds. I wish I could remember the little app I was thinking of.

You could edit the standard "Luna" skin that ships with window blinds,(I think it is quite similar to the standard XP themes) but just change the start button.

DJ, If the guy wants to send me the graphics he's made, I'll throw them into the luna theme and change the buttons for him and mail it back to him. just a thought. let me know if I can help.
