wallpaper with CPU stats... help?

i saw a wallpaper a few days ago that had CPU stats and general PC hardware information displayed on the desktop as well as having... i guess you could call them buttons. they were text on the wallpaper but when clicked they opened up a program. i dont know what program was used. no other windows are open, these stats and buttons are all integrated onto the wallpaper... dunno what its called. im a n00b.

any help appreciated.

There are several applications that can do this. Shell replacements like Talisman or litestep, Desktop replacements like Stardock's or Hoverdesk, etc. Numerous apps.

If you can find the screenshot again, or one like it, I'm sure someone here can point ya in the right direction.

You might want to look at Sysmetrix, too. It doesn't account for buttons or objects on the desktop, but it might have been the app that displayed the information.

i have the screen shot if anyone would like to see it. i dont have web hosting (yet) and i dont like uploading work that is not mine so i could email it or preferably someone could tell me another way to send it.

It's Samurize that is used to generate those stats on that SS.
How can I tell?!
