Winamp question

For some awful reason when I apply a new skin to my winamp 3 only the player and the equalizer are changed leaving the thinger and the playlist at their default setting. Now mind you this matters not to me as I have had no problems for the two or so months I've been using it, but it troubles me to see everybody else's screen captures. Can anybody help me out?

it´s probably skin dependent, when the skinner decided not to skin this part of the interface.

I had the same prob, and realised that the fault was Winamp3, so decided to return to Winamp 2.9, everything works fine now

Yep I dumped Winamp3 awhile ago. Its a resource hog and so not worth it despite the freeform skinning. Besides most of the time I keep it very small. Now using Keyboard Launchpad (through ODNT) I can use my keyboard to control winamp Winamp 2.9 is great even if it is square (rectangle).

Winamp 3 is loaded with bugs... it has many problems and I dumped it also... I will stay with Winamp2x which works like a charm.

I've been using winamp 2x for a long while now. About 6 months ago I decided to upgrade to winamp 3 because it has a really kool "freestyle" look(really bad idea > ) But I found my self dealing with lots of problems from skinz to "chopped" music reproduction. So im back to my 2x

It played the songs ok, but the skins did not apply properly

I tried Winamp3 and it was pretty good, but I never could get the visualizations to run smoothly. They were slow and kinda "jerky". Went back to 2. It could be that my system is not fast enough though.

controlling Winamp3 with LiteStep is no problem. you need Gandaharva.dll to scroll the title and Dynamp.dll for the !bang commands (play, pause, open file, etc.). and the best is that this combination can also control Winamp2.

LiteStep is the only desktop that can remote control Winamp3 as far as i know. commercial software can´t.

I have no problem with winamp v3, however I usualy use wmp.

I was strictly using wmp up until I started having problems with the full screen visualization mode. It would take two tries to get the full screen, and it would revert back when the song changed.
Since then I've used winamp.
