Uninstall Fences 3. Go into your Programs folder, go to Stardock and drag the Fences 2 folder to the desktop. Reboot then install 3.0.4, then reboot again. If everything is working fine delete the Fences 2 folder on your desktop.

If you are familiar with the registry you can delete the path at Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Misc\Fences2 (or just the whole key) and all should be well.

I found this registry

Ordinateur\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Stardock\Misc\Fences2

 

and after removing it the update worked !
