My 1st skin, or... 100 ways to destroy fonts. Step One : A heavy mallet to your PC can....

Ok, Making a WB skin is alotta work. but im wading thru it. I've hit my first major snag and could really use some help from an experienced skinner. I am using skin studio. For the life of me, I cant figure out to change the color of fonts. For example, on a pulldown menu item, the default color was gray, but thats not showing up very well on the background I created. The same is true on the start menu when expanded, like programs or recent docs. I'd like to set it to black or white.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction on where I can define these settings.
Thanks, your help is really appreciated.

In the left side panel click "miscellaneous", then "colors". Now , in the right side panel you will see a list of section for setting individual colors. That's where you need to be working.

If you go with a light font on a dark background, remember that some Windows apps don't use the OS color setting for their fonts. When I tried out windowblinds, i had to turn off a some apps because I couldn't read the black font on a dark skin. Embedded icons are bad about that too, sometimes. I love dark themes, though.
