adjusting file name length

when fence window is set to list - how can i adjust the length of the files names field... much too wide between the columns of file icons

see what i mean

*** i figured it out!..... the longest folder name sets the width for all file columns --- i renamed to shorter then set view to different view then back to my preferred view and all is perfect!
