what about the second? people like Dave McKinsey, Ewan Hecox or Shepard Fairy might be better known and make more money than let´s say Pixtudio, but still they are just people that do design for a living. i don´t think that stealing their designs should be allowed.

Speaking of rips, there is this one guy driving me crazy... He uploaded a rip of a GUIStuff design (very bad stretched to pixels) to the 5th site now. His submissions were deleted from 4 sites yet (ijncluded WC), but he doesn't get it.

(He is german, I even wrote to him explaining...)
