WB 4 Question

at first i thought this was just the skin i was using but it does this on all the skins...i had WB3 and all the buttons looked fine, but i got WB4 and now the save and cancel and ok buttons all have white bars across them. is anyone else seeing this problem? and is there any special setting i can use to maybe fix it? the only thing i can do now is tell it not to skin those buttons, everything else looks fine. oh and on the new Longhorn M4 Plex skin the sys. tray also has some odd light blue almost white bars across it...very hard to tell the time that way...hee hee, well anyways i'll stop whining now, just curious to know if it's fixable, thanks

If I had to guess I'd say it might be your video card, but I don't really know. I just am mainly commenting because I am using the Longhorn M4 Plex skin and I don't see those white lines you mention.

The only advice I can give you is if you haven't visited microsoft update lately.
You could update to all the new Xp updates.There is a driver update for video cards too.

By the way I am running xp home edition and I have installed all the new updates and my computer is working great.

I'd recommend checking with your video card vendor for any updated drivers rather than using MS Update for that. Sometimes the MS update site does not provide the correct drivers and problems can result. To be safe always check with the video card manuafacturer's site to get whatever updated drivers may be available.

I also don't see the problems you describe so don't know what it is. When you upgraded to WB 4 did you do a clean install or did you install 4 while retaining 3? FWIW I uninstalled WB 3 before installing WB 4 and have had no problems.

I had similar problems with some, and only some skins. The only thing that I personally have had help the problem is to switch skins. Skins I had used previously with no problems, started having prob with the WB4 betas. Currently I am using GalCiv without the "white bar" problem, but I had previously been using H2SO4 (& just tried my copy now & still does) and it has the white bar noted above. I suspect this is a skin related problem. I haven't tried to look at it in SkinStudio or the graphics files to see if there is something there that might explain it.
