My best friend Plank.

My best friend Plank.

Tat is the funniest thing I have ever heard of. And yet, I know it is also very beautiful. I had a best friend once... guess we talk every now and again, but not too often. I am in my 20's you know.

Who is your best friend? Is it a piece of wood? Mine was a toy... well more than a toy; it was my best friend.

Some one here must of had a blanket as a friend!

joetheblow: one of the fishes of my aquarium belongs to my youngest daughter, who is 7 years old. Her fish is called sponge bob.

Treetog: I also enjoy aquariums. I have 3 of the 30gal high tanks in one stand all in a row to appear as if they are all one tank. Is there any way you could put a link in to your message to show your 400 gal tank. I would love to see it.

That must be one cool fish if its called Sponge Bob.

Yeah, I would like to see the aquarium too. One day I had a idea that I would have a train set (HO scale) and I would make a real tunnel that goes underwater (can you say fire hazard?) and what I was going to do was get a tank and basically 'gleu and attach' tubes. Clear tubes so I could see the train... and so could the fish. I would also have one of those mini-cameras in one of the cars. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!

I was also going to have a bridge (Like the Manhatten Bridge in NYC) that went over the tank too, but I really wanted the tunnel. Reall water, boats, everything. I don't know how I would clean the tank though....

Yeah, how do you clean a 400 gallon tank anyway???

That is allot of 'stuff' to take out.

In my (3) 30 gal tanks, they are all heavely (sp) planted and all I have to do is change the filter medium occasionally and do weekly water changes of 25% with a Pythlon syphon connected directly to my bathroom sink. Takes about 15 minutes and my tanks are crystal clear. A 400 gallon tank would even be easier as your wouldn't have change from tank to tank. These are freshwater tanks (as opposed to saltwater) and I just have Guppies, Mollies, and Platties. The main reason I have the tanks is for the humidity factor and the plants but I have to admit that it is easy to get hooked on watching the fish.

/me is content to watch the fish meander around the tanks and letting the babies (fry) grow.

I want a fish tank.
I want it big like treetog's. I guess if its going to be 400 gallons, it would have to be self cleaning somehow.

Millions of little fishies!!!
How cool is that.

treetog - do you have to get *into* the tank in order to dance with the fish? Perhaps that is why it is so large?

U probably could get into a tank that big. Just enough room to sit in it and wade around, like in a pool.

But won't all the fish go into shock? I don't think they would like something that big in there tank.

"What is that?"< one fish says.

"Lets get out of here!", another says

"There is no where to go! He's everywhere!!! I keep hitting this wall!"

"Hey!, I know we are going crazy here because of this really large 'fish' but what is that square thing with pants on?"

Dance all you like, but whatever you do, don't sleep with the fishes...

Well, well. Old Crab has 55,75,(2)129, and special built 175 gallon tanks. Gourami crazy. The 175 is a salty reef tank though. However, OC still has 2 special friends. His original Teddy Bear from gramps (47 yrs old). (Don't tell anyone Old Crab still carries around his Teddy). And last - an ancient cat (just turned 23) and still going strong. >

Cujo couldn't have done better I'm thinking. Though I would still question reaching out a hand he could see at moments depicted as in his pic might pull it back shy a digit !

Just came from a fishing trip and brought 3 new peacock bass citizens to encrease the population of my aquarium. GO! GO!

Styl skinner: if you try to search using Tucunaré (the original name) since it is originaly from Brazil, in the Amazon basin, where recive anglers (extremely americans) from all over the world, because of it's great fight.
but here is a pick for you to have an idea of how big they can be http://www.tucunare.com.br/galfot6.htm

HuronJoe: I will post some picks of my aquarium in a near future.
I don't clean my tank, since it has 3 different filters, running 24 hours per day for that job. All I need to do is replace 15% of the watter at every 3 weeks.

One thing, I made a worng conversion from littlers (that we use here) to gallons. In fact it have just 250 gallons, I am sorry for the wrong info. =/
