What happened to Chris Pirillo!!!!!!

I really would like to get that show here in germany...

He left Tech TV? I didn't know that! (And, I even know him personally). Did he leave, or is he just on a break? You can also find him at www.lockergnome.com (which is his website). He holds Gnomedex every year if you want to meet him. He's an extremely nice, very funny guy.

He explained in his newsletter yesterday that his hectic schedule left him no free time whatever and that's why he
made the decision to leave the show...

Here's a tasty bit of news: TechTV and I have officially parted ways. I can't go into details right now, but this change is not necessarily a bad thing! Current plans? To spend my most of my days (and nights) bringing Lockergnome ventures to life - as well as continuing to push the media envelope. I'm not dead yet! And as sure as I know the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow, I know that I'll one day bring my boobs [and a few obscure pop culture allusions] back to the boob tube. Sound like fun? I thought so. You said "yes," right? Okay, just making sure. Plans for Thursday: solidify a few more big-name speakers for Gnomedex, finalize contracts with conference sponsors, outline next week's strategy for taking over the world, et cetera. First, I must turn on my Webcam, tune in to the Cartoon Network, and get a Peet's. No day would be complete without the rich flavor of finely grounded beans, flown in from international lands. Peet's. It's what's for dinner. Did I just mix slogans again? Ah, that's what I get for writing a report before my fix. Yes, I know I was supposed to be quitting. Don't remind me. Not today.

Darn, I read more about the whole thing. I knew TechTV was having some problems, but what they did is just crazy!

I think he had a falling out with the big wigs at TECH TV about the episode of the colouring of his hair!!
There was also a episode of him licking certain objects that got him into trouble!! I had read that on the Tech TV message-board.

Oh well, it's their loss, not his....

I like Leo a Lot but I prefer Leo on Screen Savers!!

I agree with you Gadget Girl.
Leo does a good job in TSS/The Screensavers but Chris was the perfect host for a show like Call for Help.
I just browsed through the CfH messageboards and noticed indeed several posts stating he did leave the show.
I haven't had the chance to look there for a while and simply assumed he was on vacation and Leo took over for a bit.
TechTV is going in the wrong direction tho if you ask me, the number of live shows is going down, the good shows are cut off (Silicon Spin was awesome) and replaced by bought shows. (What's up with those old technogames episodes anyways).
The screensavers from 90 to 60 minutes, while the quality keeps going down.
Ah well, we'll see, but I think the suits of techtv are cutting themselves in the fingers bigtime.

I used to watch everyday but it really has turned into MacTV if ya ask me.They all use Macs and all of the guests are usually talking Mac too.What a waste,IMHO.

Rattaplan- I agree with you whole hardily!! I think they went in the wrong direction with that decision!

brazil-You know what, I wish I had a MAC !!! It certainly is better than WINDOWS ME.

GG, they have been having problems with synchronizing the servers ever since daylight savings time (there's a joke)....
I've seen improvements lately, so I am confident that the problems will be ironed out before too long..
