yep, its a suped up N64, Nintendo decided, yet again, that they needed the most powerful machine to play mario on. aimed at kids rather than adults (as the other consoles tryed)

Gamecube is a great system, I owe the Gamecube and also the PS2.
I like them both, but I tend to play more games on the Gamecube than the PS2.
Everyone has there preference though.
