my explorer windows suck...

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some help with something. I am working on my first WB skin, am using the newest skinstudio, and I am having a bit of a problem. As far as I can tell, although i dont have WB4 yet, everything on my skin looks good. Except for the IE toolbars/explorer toolbars in general.

The problem is, that while the toolbar buttons look good in photoshop/skinstudio and all other apps I've looked at under explorer the buttons seem out of whack( sized a bit too small) and there are grey chunks of color over the blank area of the toolbar. this takes place where the last button (help) ends through to the win logo. odd thing is, the google bar looks ok.

second point, what are those dividers on the explorer toolbar called? I cant seem to find them to edit them so they match.

If visuals would help I can try uploading a couple of hypersnap images, or the WB skin itself.

ideas?

thanks in advance everyone.

what's a hypersnap? If you could post a link to a screenshot it would help. If you need a place to post it use the news://news.stardock.com/stardock.windowblinds.binaries newsgroup.

I think the divider you're looking for is the toolbar gripper. The chunks of color sound like you're expecting a tiled image to stretch? or it might be the margins you've defined on the buttons, try adding a couple pixels to the bottom margin of your toolbar buttons.

btw - if you do post to the binaries group, try to keep the images as small as possible, just the area with the problem, not a whole screen...

thanks for the help I posted it to the binaries under "examples of my problems"

I'll try to get the .jpg on a website tonight.
