First, what program do you use to make the animated .gifs? And secondly...what are you making the animations for? (i.e. cursorXP, DX, etc.)...

When you refer to .ani files...that leads me to believe you are trying to make an animated cursor????????????

yes i am trying to make animated cursors for cursor xp...trying being the key word, i can't make anything like your cursors, but i'm workin on it,...i use unFREEz 2.1 to make my .gifs
i went all the way to make the gif animated, then came to discover cursor xp only recognizes .ani's, well you live and you learn

Bonzo, your best bet is to create your frames as .png files and assemble them with AniUtil.

http://www.cursorxp.com/files/AniUtil.zip

png files are the most flexable to work with and ya won't end up beating your head against the wall trying to convert a gif to an ani and your results will probably be better.

Just follow the guide on the CursorXP site
