Feature Request

Roll Up

I just got Fences and so far I am really enjoying it. However something I feel would be a huge improvement to the roll up feature is if it could "roll down" or left and right. I feel limited as to where I can place some of the Fences.

Fences do roll down, on my old laptop it was very finicky to get it to work (I had to play with the exact position the fence was or it would just roll up) but on my new one it works like a champ. You can't roll left / right at this time that I'm aware of.

I have another feature request for the roll up / roll down behavior. Since I often have windows open where the roll up / roll down happens I'd like a checkbox to force fences to the top so I dont' have to move / close windows that may be covering where it rolled down to.

Thanks for the feedback.  I'll make sure the dev team is aware.

As Zubaz mentioned he will pass the request along and hopefully it will be looked at.

However I have no idea why you have to either move or close an open programs you have covering the fences. Why don't you just click it on the taskbar and it will not be seen till you click on it again to have it show back on the desktop in the same place and size you may have it. A lot easier than closing a program and opening it again or moving it to another position and moving it back.

Also, if you are using the Start10 beta fences contents show up in "all programs".

I've been usign that a lot lately because it's always on top of other windows

When I said close I meant minimize. :)

Some programs do not work that way, for example, even in word if I have multiple word documents open clicking on the taskbar does not quick minimize, even clicking on one of the quick view windows will not close it for me (unless I have something weird set in windows that is dissalowing this).

The way I work (and I imagine most people nowadays work this way) I often times have dozens of windows open and finding the exact program on the taskbar to minimize can take longer than just sliding the program offscreen or clicking the minimize button. I will often times slide because if I have several word documents open finding which exact one in the taskbar list will take longer.

I do realize I do things the hard way sometimes.

Edit: I shoudl have mentioned I stack application in the taskbar - I could probably change this behavior and then the quick minimize might work but then I'd pull what's left of my hair out trying to find things. :)
