Acrobat reader problem

This is off topic again but you all are steady helpin me...
Ever since I formatted some time ago, with the free version of Acrobat every time I clicked on a link that lead to Acrobat, after reading it and closing it out, the page that linked me to it would lock up. If I didn't right click and close it, it would do it itself.
I have the full version which I just installed and the same problem occurs.
Anybody know whats up with this?
