Help with ObjectDock & this message board.

I had ObjectDock before and then got rid of it because I couldn't figure out how to add downloaded things to it. I re-downloaded it today, hoping someone could maybe explain the steps to me, becuase I would really like to use it.

Also, I was wondering.... how do you put your email links on here and how do you put links to others sites on here? Just Wanted to know in case I needed to put mine email addy link in a message in the future.

I would really appreciate it if someone could please help me with my ObjectDock thingy.

As far as the email question, just type it in. Someone else will have to answer the other question.

You extract icons, and pngs to a folder of your choosing, inside the ObjectDock directory, backgrounds go in the "Backgrounds" folders, running indicators go in the "Running Indicators" folder.

OK, I have windows XP so if my explanation is inconsistant with your Operating system go out and buy a new computer with xp on it, buy xp at www.brandxtechnologies.com or get xp pro off of kazaa.

To add an icon to your objectdock taskbar click on the "configure object dock" icon and a little window will pop up, that is the configure object dock window(CODW), on the upperleft of the CODW there are three drop down menus labeled file, create, and help. click create and it should drop down and then pick add new shortcut. A questionmark should appear in your objectdock. right-click on that questionmark and a box should pop up. Click on the change image button and a bank of icons should open from which you can choose an icon from. once you have the icon you want change the title of the icon from object dock to the title of the program or folder that you want that icon to represent. Ok all of the easy stuff is out of the way so hold on and pay attention:

Go to the link box hit browse and find the exe. file for the program that you want the icon to represent. you will need to use the browser that comes up when you click browse to go to program files and find the folder for the program click on it and most times there is an icon that represents the exe. file click on it and objectdock should pull it into the space that says link. click ok and then click on your new icon to test it.

Oh a cool trick is drag the objectdock icon into your start menu and then into all programs and then into startup so that every time you turn on your computer objectdock will start automatically.
