Question for skinners...

Why doesn't anyone lock their taskbar for screenshots? I keep mine locked all the time, keeps those ugly little dashed vertical lines away from the quicklaunch AND does away with that really ugly line on top the whole length of the taskbar. Looks so much cleaner, keeps everything smoove. But I don't think I've ever seen one screenshot where the author has theirs locked, just wonderin' if it's "policy" or something?

Also, is it a KNOWN bug @ Stardock that about half of the time the line on top of the taskbar comes back on startup regardless of whether or not you have it locked? I'd have to say for me at least that it's about half & half, sometimes it's not there on startup, other times I have to unlock the taskbar and re-lock it again just to get rid of that stoopid little line. Anyone know?

Thanks,
smooches,

Most people don't lock because they don't lock it in geenral use, I would presume.
Besides, if a skin is well made, the resizers and grippers will look good anyway.

The purpose of a screenshot is to give the downloader a preview of the skin without downloading it. Some ppl lock the bar and some don't. It makes sense showing the most to get a more accurate preview.

Showing the taskbar unlocked shows a preview of the parts that wouldn't show if locked. It wouldn't makes sense locking the bar and hiding parts of a preview. The preview is not wallpaper so showing hidden parts is Oh So Chic
