Anybody use window blinds and play alot of computer games? I need alot of comments please!

I am considdering using window blinds but I'm worried about compatibility with games because I like to play alot of newer games. I am running win XP Pro, 512mb DDR 1.7gig P4. Should I choose between games and window blinds or should I not worry about game compatibility at all? Please comment.

You might wait for Windowblinds 4.0 download. It is supposed to be practicaly resource free in comparison. I still haven't found a link to try it, I think it is still in Beta. I am looking forward to trying it myself.

if you do get the full version, you can exclude certian games of it doesn't work to well with them. Also I fine that if the windowblind acts funky, you can use a different format called UIS1. It works will with games and all you have to do is select the game exacutable and make it only use the UIS1 skin. Allot of skin makers make regular and UIS1 skins that match.

I have not had problems with games, but I do have some programs that HATE windowblinds (Crystal Reports for one) But I found that if you exclude certain apps from being skinned you can get around the problems. The benefits of WB outweigh the problems.

I always disable anything running in the background including Windowblinds before playing games or viewing DVDs unless I am only playing Solitaire or something.

i play alot of PC games, and windowblinds has never interfered with any of them. and it takes a very minimal amount of resources away from the games. my PC only dropped about 30 pts out of 11,000 in 3Dmark 2001 SE.

oh and keep in mind that Stardock makes computer games too so most likely windowblinds works with most computer games.

when I was running my WB I never had a problem with games. But I am into the old games like command & conquer red alert. But I bet Quake 3 won't like WB.
