WB4 and Background Windows

For some reason neither mine nor any one elses windowblinds skins are displaying the ShellStyleLarge(whetever).bmp at all. The Control Panel background is showing properly. If I remove the skin's defined background from the skin, it displays the Windows default bitmaps as nice as you please. This is driving me nuts.

Any ideas?

I am also experiencing this problem. Thought it was something wrong with my computer. wonder whats up. My beta WB is also saying its expired, but SDC is not showing any updates for me to download.

Its annoying because I've almost finished updating my "Compewter" skin for WB$ and I don't know if its the skin or my computer or what.

I can not get the control pannel background to change. Even when running the default XP theme I don't have those little music notes or whatever the background is. Any ideas?

Answered my own question but created another one. I was using the clasic view which is not skinned...but is there a way that you can skin it?

jcg hope you get it figured out realy loved compewter theme and am sure that th WB skin can only be as good

jcg, try saving your ShellStyleLarge(whatever).bmp files as 8bit indexed color bitmaps. That solved the problem for me.
