WB4 and DesktopX Questions

Ok, i'm thinking of getting WB but I have a question.
1. If I buy WB NOW (like today) will I be able to download WB4(beta or whatever)?

One other question about DesktopX
Does anybody know of any updates being planned for DesktopX? We've been on 1.30 for some time now.

I just got WindowBlinds a week or so ago and had the same question. After wring StarDock, they wrote back and said yes, you will get the updates (for a year I think ..I'll have to go back and read the email).

Don't know about DesktopX, though

Ok, I kinda figured that but you didn't answer my question.
If I go TODAY and buy WB. What version(s) will be available to download?

I ask because there's some sweet looking WB4 themes i'm dying to try!

I've got 3.5 now. I think 4.0 is what is about to be released. I think, from reading posts, that if you have Object Desktop, you get all the betas in between the major releases.

Yes you do. We're on 3.99a at the moment, with 4.0 coming soon. If you buy WB now you'll get the upgrade to 4.0 when it comes out. DX is on 1.94. You may be better getting Object Desktop if you want to keep really up to date - plus you get lots of other goodies too

DesktopX update very soon.

Versions 1.9x available to Object Desktop subscribers now so v2 should be on general release soon.

I would get Object Desktop but theres' just no reason for me to do that. I barely use DesktopX so I really can't see paying $50. Heck, It's been about 2 months since I ran DesktopX. I guess i'll just have to be patient.
