Wallpapers..which type do you prefer?

I noticed the pole but I need more choices then the pole offers so I am making this thread.

I like walls that are of real looking objects set in real looking scenery,But they have a
supernatural look not of this real world.

What do you like?

How about surrealistic?
Most definitely sci-fi.

I have about a gig of sci-fi wallpapers.

If it's scenery then I'd rather it was science-fiction....downed spaceships, etc.
If it's Bryce....I'd rather it was either 'un-Brycey', like MobiusCo...or at least have vibrant colour use as with JamMeister's.
Surreal is 'good'...Still Life is 'not'.

Lots of styles appeal....but I absolutely loathe strong whites dominating a wall....too glary for a work screen...

Good question, most walls depends on my mood but i also like matching items with desktop

At the moment im working on something interesting maybe..

All I can say is that my imagination lives in a surrealistic world of it's own choosing...

I just try very hard to let some of that out in a way that might be construed as palatable.

I usually keep to space images or an abstract S3DMax rendered digital art, but I've also been known to display a landscape or a movie wallpaper. I guess it depends on my mood and what I'm into at the time.
Also I usually prefer dark and/or blue wallpapers.

It depends on my mood also. I like seasonal landscapes, digital photos of my paintings and murals. Also love technical wallpapers.
/me is quite eclectic!!!

Me... Mostly my own.

/me kicks himself for telling it like it is.

But there are some others I like.
I like 'most' of Mr. McKnott's works (sorry Mr. McKnott, there are a few (just 2 in fact) exceptions, but you already know that) that I do not particularly like.
And then there is G_A. Love his work.
And adni18 (earlier works).

BTW, I have no preference, I use what I like, presently I am using 'Chess City', I'll switch to 'Satan' in a week perhaps.

ashu, I have no idea why you insist on calling me Mr. McKnott so I'll just come up with some absurd name for you...

and whatta mean two? one I know you don't like, I'm trying to remember what the second one might be...
and no, don't go throwing any names around here...hehe

Hum. Difficult. It's easier to say what I don't like.
I don't like walls that are too "dark" (not in color but in mood), or too weird. I don't like walls that look 3D. On the other hand, I'm struck in awe when I see something I think is a picture but actually is 3D rendered.
As a general rule, I like walls that are uplifting, not depressing. Thats why I usually don't like SciFi or Techie walls. To me, a wallpaper also can't have too much dark/light contrasts, or I loose my icons on my desktop (yes, my desktop is full of files and shortcuts).
I must admit, not too many walls fit my tastes, here or elsewhere.
Walls that I like are usually 2D abstracts, more not etherreal either. They are usually relatively simple too, and breathe a lot (not too tight of a design).

So, BoXXi, could you have put that as a choice?

I prefer surrealistic and abstract 3D colorful wallpapers.... no big surprize there, huh?
I don't like 2D flat walls and like Paxx I don't like dark moody type walls, I find them disturbing and I
don't want to look at disturbing things by choice. I also like well done landscapes. I don't like people in
my walls which is why I don't use Poser at all. I also don't like text of any kind in walls...

How about.....I like absolutely nothing about the genre/style of 'Still Trapped In Bryceworld'?...
I like very detailed wallpapers and very simple wallpapers with the right positioning of elements.

At times it doesn't have to work with the icons but if it is really nice I will use it anyway depending on my mood.

I tend to also like earth tones... abstract images are cool, but give me more detail or something.

I can use darks like treetog's Unlighted. Sometimes darks help when there is to much glare or I want to hide my desktop from prying eyes... especailly when I am IM'ing someone in class

Anyone have a clue as to when the wallpaper library will be open again? I'm starting to have withdrawal!

Well there are a bunch of people out there who evidently think your wall is just peachy keen, Jafo....

Concerning the latest poll that is on the front page here, they left out my favorite which is surrealistic.
That leaves me without an option since I will not pick my second choice....

A sad day in Green Armani history I have lost all my source files for my work on WC I'm so depressed right now that I'm suffering at work. Sounds weird. For some reason my wife accidentally deleted my read only, hidden folder...go figure. It's probably my fault for not telling her where they were at and that they were hidden

A total of 67 walls and such that I have made since November when I first started my obsession with all of this

I had been putting some on a cd rom but my burner crapped out on me a few weeks ago and I hadn't had the time to fix it or get a new one.

I guess I have to start all over but I don't have the heart right now

Hey @shu thanks for liking my work I love abstract for the simple reason that it gives you the room to be creative and I especially like seeing people look at a wall and get a different feel of what it is to them.

I can see from the current poll that abstract is the most popular form of wall and I never doubted that even though the admins felt too many abstract stuff was being submitted.

Anyway....back to the drawing board
