Just running Windowblinds on a *reasonably* decent system and OS won't hamper the performance at all.

Windowblinds itself doesn't slow down your computer. But certain skins are indeed a resource hog.
No biggie, when I find that a skin slows me down, I just pick another one.

yeah depends on the skin. My computer is old and running windows 98 with a celron 450. It is slow but once on it is no problem. Also when running games it is better to either exclude the exacuabe of the game from Windowblinds or use the UIS1+ windowblinds for better proformance.

I first used Windowblinds with Win98 on my AMD K6-2 500mhz system 224mb Ram, and I found it performed admirably. It was not an issue in using the computer. Although certainly the more programs I was running it ran slower, but that wasn't WB's fault it was Win98.
With XP now I can do more than twice as much as I could with Win98 and run more than just WB to boot.
I really suggest if you have the money upgrade to XP, it is well worth it. My previous reboot a day system became the system where I can't recall when I last reboot

I really don't know what it is with you all and your older, slower computers. You can build a system that is over a gig in speed for about $200 US these days. All you really need is the patience and know how to put it together.
